Dana has acquired all of ETA Profiles LLC’s plants and equipment for an undisclosed amount, Dana said in a press release. The property has an appraisal of $5.5 million.
This new initiative will help Dana Steel Fabrication Industries’ profiles and cladding division increase capacity to meet its growing customer base in the Middle East and North Africa market.
The main product lines provided by Dana Steel include various types of thermal insulation composite profiled panels, profiled cladding panels, wall cladding panels, roof cladding panels, curved cladding panels, watertight panels, sandwich panels, floors, slabs and secondary structural steel members, for example as Z- and C-purlins and auxiliary reinforcement.
The plant and equipment purchased from ETA Profiles will be relocated to Dana Steel’s existing plants in Al Jurf Ajman and UAQ, a modern industrial estate in the UAE.
Key equipment includes a fully automatic Z- and C-profile line and a fully automatic slitting line capable of slitting thinner pre-coated aluminum and gi coils for cladding.
The addition of these lines will increase Dana Steel’s daily insulating panel and cladding capacity to over 10,000 square meters.
BS Dana, Chairman of the Dana Group, said: “Dana sees this acquisition as a significant milestone and is confident that it will support its growth and help it enter the booming MENA market.
“We constantly strive to maintain our position as a reliable and leading supplier of a wide range of value-added steel products.
“Our goal is to be competitive in the market with coated rolls from our own color coating line, thereby providing our customers with high quality products at low prices,” said Dr. Dana.
