It’s been called the granddaddy of all reality shows, and it set the standard for all that followed. It’s a survivor, and this season, the two Connecticut entrants will try to win it all.
Survivor returns for CBS’ 42nd season on March 9, and this week they announced a new contestant who will be vying for the grand prize, a check for $1 million.
This season, two players from Connecticut will compete for the big win.they are:
Daniel Strunk is a 30-year-old paralegal and cancer survivor who calls New Haven, Connecticut home. That’s why he thinks he’ll be the only survivor this season, according to the official Survivor website.
I really think the odds are against me.It all becomes a matter of threat management.I’m going to put this all on the table.I’ll give it my all because this is probably the shot I get – I’ve been waiting for years and I don’t want to regret it.I can’t promise you that I’ll win, but I can promise you that I’ll have fun and make the most of this opportunity.Cancer survivors don’t go all out.
Another contestant from Connecticut is Chanelle Howell from Hamden. She’s 29 and an executive recruiter, which is why she thinks she’ll be the only survivor of Season 42:
I am really a student of games.I’ve watched all the seasons, I’ve studied great players, I’ve learned the nuances.I am a subject matter expert at SURVIVOR.In addition to having a winning “tool belt”, my motivation will propel me through cold nights and hungry days.I wanted to show black and brown girls that this game was made for us too!
I’m sure you’re familiar with how the game works. The show will follow 19 new entrants as they battle for $1 million and the coveted “Sole Survivor” title. They’ll be pushed to the limit, testing their mental and physical strength, and as I’m sure you know, the show is always going to have big twists and unpredictable situations throughout the game.
